On September 1st the Steering Group had a meeting and walk around Hingham with staff from AECOM (contractors to Dept of Communities and Local Government), who are assisting us to develop Design Codes and look at parking solutions.
The Steering Group meeting held on the 13th of September began the formidable task of pulling together all the evidence and data gathered so far. This includes the information gained from residents via the public drop-in session, Placecheck comments, stakeholder engagement and household surveys, as well as that done by professional research resulting in a housing needs assessment and data profile. All of this will be used in order to develop draft objectives and policies for the Neighbourhood Plan.
A further Steering Group meeting is planned on 27th September as the work to create a draft plan gathers pace.
