The household and business surveys are now closed. The response rate was a little over a quarter of households in the town.
The Steering Group met in April to hear from our consultants regarding non-designated heritage assets, green spaces, and site allocations. These are all things the community needs to understand in order to build the best Neighbourhood Plan for Hingham. They also covered a round up of the community and business engagement so far.
May has been busy, with businesses being invited to get involved and request what they need from Hingham, along with plans for a survey for households to have their say too.
The second meeting of the Steering Group. Discussion included development of the data profile and character assessments necessary for this stage of the Neighbourhood Plan, plus a review of the first public event.
The Hingham Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group has commenced the final aspect of Stage One: detailed public engagement. The purpose of this exercise is to obtain views and ideas from the community as a whole. This process has started with members of the Steering Group approaching various community groups in the Parish and their assistance and co-operation is greatly appreciated.
Held on Monday 21 February 2022 at 7.45pm in the Lincoln Hall. After introductions and declarations of interest, people were elected to key roles (chair, secretary etc.) The whole process was outlined, followed by next steps.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the first Neighbourhood Plan drop-in session. We had 66 residents come along and share their views.
